Route 109 in Thomaston is impassable.
Holy crap. It's like the wild west out there (if it snowed in the wild west that is).
This sucker's electrical, but I need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 gigawatts of electricity I need.

Finished somewhere around 27 and 28 minutes (so says RunKeeper). Felt good.
Update:
Here I am at the start line of the Southington Apple Harvest 5K. I met my goal of completing the race in the 28 minute zone and was pretty pleased with my performance.
This is the first race I’ve run that didn’t have one of those mats you run over at the start line so you can see what your net time on the course was. Based on Runkeeper, I ran the 5k in 00:27:43, which I’m super happy with but I’m pretty disappointed to not have my time officially measured.
Another thing that bugged me was the lack of a “READY, SET, GO” at the start of the race. It was more like “okay….go ahead…”, it really threw me off and a bunch of people around me were like “are we going now?”. Overall I had a great time and I’m just nitpicking…I’ll likely run it next year too. Hopefully they implement “net time” by then.
